On the evening of your film

Upon arrival you will be greeted by our friendly and accommodating commissionaire. Please alert him if you require assistance or have been told to come early to pay for tickets and he will let you in to do this.

The doors will open officially at 7pm. Refreshments are available to purchase from the kiosk before the film starts. Feel free to take drinks to your seat or you are welcome to sit in Screen Two (in our new extension)

You will have a numbered ticket and our usherettes will direct you to your seat.

At 7.15 our front of house manager will welcome you from the stage.

After this depending on the length of film we may show a second feature, a short film which strangely goes on first. This may be a Look at Life, Tom and Jerry, Buster Keaton or a local interest film.

After this the main feature will be shown.

We break for an interval at around 8.15pm. You will be entertained by our organist during the intermission. Usherettes will be on hand with trays of ices and confectionery. Hot drinks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available from the kiosk. The interval normally lasts 15-20 mins. We will play a short selection of Pearl and Dean adverts.

The rest of the film will be shown. This is followed by some short footage of the coronation while we play the National Anthem.

Most evenings end at around 9.30/10pm depending on the length of our main feature.
